SCHOOL VISITS

I am happy to visit schools so long as they are within easy reach of London by rail.

I prefer to do no more than two sessions in a day but have no objection to large groups – say, up to 100. I prefer Years 4-7, but will do Years 3 or 8 if specially requested.

My current charges are £250 per 1-hour session or £200 per 45 minutes, plus travel expenses.

My talks consist of discussion re ideas – where they come from, what I do with them, using some of my books to illustrate points, plus Q&A session to finish off. I don’t do workshops per se, but will willingly read students’ work beforehand and devote a session to constructive criticism.

One caveat: I have 7 dogs to exercise before leaving home so cannot make early starts! Have no objection to doing one session before lunch and one after.
